Octenol Installation/Replacement
Basic Attractant usage Information
- Directions For Use:
It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.
- Replace attractant every 21 days:
Based on release rate studies conducted at a constant ambient air temperature of 80° for 21 days. Octenol release from this product will be more rapid at higher ambient air temperature.
- Storage & Disposal:
Do not contaminate water, food or feed by storage and disposal.- Storage:Store unopened attractant cartridge in a cool, dry place. Discard outer plastic bag in trash.
- Disposal:Do not reuse attractant cartridge. Dispose of used attractant cartridge in the trash.

- Freedom
- Liberty
- Defender
Step 1 Using a coin, unscrew cover from carrier compartment. This is located inside the black plume tube. |
Step 2 Peel off protective cover from Mosquito Magnet ® Octenol Biting Insect Attractant |
Step 3 Slide Mosquito Magnet® Insect Attractant into the cattier compartment. |
Step 4 Reverse step one to close carrier compartment. |

- Pro
- Pro Plus
Step 1 Locate the round green attractant compartment cap located under the hood and turn to the unlock position. Lift off cap to open. |
Step 2 Peel off protective cover from Mosquito Magnet ® Octenol Biting Insect Attractant. |
Step 3 Placed open cartridge inside the compartment's center delivery tube. |
Step 4 Replace the attractant compartment cap and turn to the locked position |
Drop In Tube Style Traps used on:
- Liberty Plus
Step 1 Locate the black plume tube and separate it from the power head. |
Step 2 Peel off protective cover from Mosquito Magnet ® Octenol Biting Insect Attractant |
Step 3 Remove the attractant carrier located inside the plume chamber. |
Step 4 Slide the opened cartridge face down into the carrier's retaining rails. The cartridge will lock into place with a click. |
Step 5 Place the carrier into the plume tube with the fins down. |
Step 6 Re-insert the plume tube into the power head's trumpet |
